A part of me is hesitant to say "Marie deserved her fate" yet I also admit that it is hard to pity Marie given how she DID make her bother's life miserable, with that Yaoi junk, and is the main reason why her brother died, seriously; I know no one expects a person to die, from playing a video game, but Marie's brother did DIE after moving away from home, which Marie was responsible for, so it is sad to say this but if Leon feels satisfied on Marie's misery then I wouldn't blame him. However, I also admit Marie's parents are at fault, not for spoiling Marie but rather for being stereotypical prudish parents; maybe Marie could have been more HONEST if her parents weren't so "excessively prim," instead the parents had kicked both their kids out, for the Yaoi trash, which eventually led to the kids' deaths. Good thing the parents chose not to Breed again, Marie's parents had contributed to their son's first death, they don't deserve to sire another child. Yet I still question how prudish parents manage to produce children when they give an overexaggerated reaction to treat something minor, like possession of "adult material", as a major crime worse than genocide. Even I would Explode if my parents treated buying ecchi manga as a crime worse than murder.
The boyfriend is also another issue, seriously, Marie should have never let any male know where she lives. Girl should have called the police the moment the guy knocked at her door. |
