I’ve originally watched Retry a few years ago — essentially binge watching the whole thing in one night; it would’ve been better if there was better animation & art. Were getting a second chance at having better art & animation - the one thing that was holding back this series.
I can’t lie I thought there would’ve been more hype, but of course it’s a cash grab studio with history for mediocre animation. With this considered, I’m still hyped.

The art and animation are fine, I think you people are spoiled. I grew up in the 80s & 90s, the story was what was important, not complaints about “this is not up to my standards of art / animation”.

Also, this anime deserved more appreciation for its good story in the first season and it deserved a second season.

I’m actually really happy at the announcement, this was one of my favorite anime of that season.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

So is this just season 1 but done by a different studio? Or is it like season 1.5? Or season 2 and fixing mistakes from season 1?

Yeah, the animation is horrible.
But its the studio first anime if im not mistaken, so im not so mad about it.
But the direction they took and make just another fanservice harem waifu is really tick me off.

I’m a modern guy so I’m more at-toned towards animation that is more aesthetically pleasing.
The story is great, that is why I binged watched it in one night, but it just felt off with the animation.

I really liked the first season and am looking forward to the sequel, but I wouldn't go as far as to say I'm 'hyped' because after reading the manga I'd say I prefer the story of the first season.
I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy my time watching it though :)

The design ain’t that important is it a little but am more excited about the story since I haven’t read the manga I hope they will continue after s1 if they do that ima defo be happy that the anime came back.
