| This may be another case of "ln is the source material, manga bad and inferior in any way" Either way, until now the story has been quite 1:1 with manga, until now. In this week's ep (7) Rinne intervened in the Alfreya battle with her wings out, Jeanne noticed it and said somrthing about Kai explaining it later, and Alfreya commented calling her a disgusting hybrid. No such thing found in the manga, Rinne didn't show any of the main characters besides Kai her real appearence and at a point that is quite past where the story is now in the anime, made quite clear to Kai she doesn't intend revealing it to anyone (yet). | Ep 8 also added an original scene. The pace is also super fast we are basically breezing through the next arc. Add this to the Rinne original scenes, they may want to fully close the story by last ep. If they condense in ep 9 and 10 They may be able to cram a final fight with the beast hero in the last two eps and make a fully concluded story with no need of s2. Honestly fine by me, too many ln adaptations end doing the equivalent of 20-30 manga chapters in 12 eps just to not have another season ever again. Rush to the end sounds better. Considering I still feel the anime flowed nicely until now despite the super fast pacing... |

In place of that scene with Jeanne they cut the entire bath scene with Reiren and Rinne. Fan service denied.

| Episode 9 with even more changes. Kai's arm was cut off in the manga, only hurt in the anime. This to remove the need to introduce the character who healed him. The hot springs in the middle of nowhere too, so they removed the need to introduce the village. And they went straight for the human temple. Yep, the demi human village arc got completely cut off. No Renren's friend, sad... This is kinda in line with the change in ep 7 tbh, by making the Rinne reveal they just skipped the arc with other mixed race humanoids and breezed through the story. I guess.. |
