What impression did the Kengan Ashura franchise leave on you?

I finally finished Kengan a few days ago, and I can say that I really liked this anime, what impressions did the anime leave you with?

It’s an under performing, Baki wanna-be. Is my impression. While we did finally get Ohma’s backstory in the latest season, there was just less character development and depth vs Baki.

I enjoyed both series, but the CGI in Ashura was the most off putting thing I think most people can agree on. If they put a bit more effort in the animation then it could have been a bigger hit.

Can’t wait for the next big hand to hand fighting anime to come out!

Spoilers ahead:

I actually think the CGI and 3D feeling of the animation is amazing for fighting scenes and that overall it was more realistic and informative from a martial art standpoint than Baki.

I am disappointed with Kengan Omega and the fact Ohma was brought back ruined the ending of the anime for me.

the way I see it kengan is more technical fighting oriented than baki's story driven and character development approach.

It went pass what I was expecting from it and I like how a lot of it was building character which I do love how they make the fights buts it’s nice to have something like this I know there’s a other manga or something for kengen so I’m hoping they make it into a anime also

For me Kengan Ashura is best marital arts anime.
I finished manga.I hope to see omega animated,some day,it would be awesome.
Only people who understand martial arts(even a little bit)can see greatness of CGI,so i understand people who hate it.I just love martial arts,but Baki is not my thing.Kengan and Garouden did it more realistically.That's pretty much it overall 10/10.

I have a sweet spot for it as my first anime. But I'll be honest. The story isn't the best, maximum 6/10. The animation is good, might say the best cgi in anime 9/10. Characters are very unique and cool 9/10. The voice acting was pretty good but I didn't pay much attention to it 8/10. For a small studio I'd say the anime is very good

At first, I didn't want to watch it because it's full CGI and I kinda dislike CGI in animes, but my brother convinced me to watch it so I gave it a chance and I'm glad I did because it surpassed my expectations and even got me reading the manga. By episode 3 I was already in love with this anime.

This anime is underrated but this is good shit.

The lack of storyline disqualifies from a high score but I enjoyed it all the way through and the aesthetics were great. 7/10

I didn't expect to like it at all, but I'm in love with an anime that respects all its characters and fighting style and doesn't drag on too much. The protagonist is the tournament itself. I wish it had a stronger storyline but gladly the fights themselves made up for it.
