Can you die in a dungeon?

Hi, folks!

I’m watching the anime, and it’s quite light-hearted (which is fine, lol), but I wonder if you can die in a dungeon. The MC and supporting characters act like it’s a theme park ride, like it’s a safe place, and you just get hurt, but nothing serious. However, there are a few moments when the MC says it’s dangerous and all. I don’t get it.

If it’s not safe and you can die, then why the MC acts like he’s in Disneyland?

This is just my personal view but I think the first 10 levels or so are seen as training level where as long as you are careful and properly equipped you should be fine I know it seem weird for a dungeon to have a 7-11 store and janitor the store most likely heavily guard just like the janitor that had three guards so the upper floor are like an extreme amusement park but deeper down the more danger and less support from the guild and increase chances of death or going missing
