Is anyone else feeling dissapointed about the soundtrack?

I really love Atri, it's one of my favorite stories ever and I love it a lot since I played the VN in early 2023.

I'm also loving the anime. I'm having a great time watching it although I don't think it will be the same as its source material with its depth.

But I have to admit that so far, the anime has fallen short in its soundtrack department compared to the VN which had tracks like "The Sunken City" which helped highlighting the existencial feeling that the VN has and touches on.

Does anyone else feel the soundtrack underwelming? I guess it's just me because I already played the VN.

I’ll say this … As a musician that appreciates good music, no music stood out to me from this anime’s soundtrack.

The anime is alight. I wish it didn’t depend on the anime tropes for humor, and just wrote a good story.

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

I didn't start watching the anime for the music so personally I'm I impartial to it. from memory the opening was good I don't think i watched the ending simply cuz I was a little busy and I almost never realise that there is ost/background music in any anime.

Matsumoto IS working on the anime though. It's probably more of an issue with the sound director.
