In Fact I dont think the studio really cares much about merch or BD sales in general, ever since the start. If they did, we wouldnt have gotten sequels this early. Season 2 was announced 3 months after season 1 ended . Season 3 was announced immediately after season 2 ended. Also, the price tag is high because, each volume of BD includes 6 episodes and added benifits like removing the TV censorship if any, redraws, corrections etc. (check the link I shared). Other shows in contrary, usually only include an average of 2-4 episodes per volume. |
| Pretty damn good numbers. The BD sales seem to have been quite consistent, which means the anime has a loyal and very active consumer base. |
