Why this manga get cancelled?

I just found out about this manga and want to read it but later found out that this manga just have 6 chapter because it was cancelled, why this manga get cancelled?

Officially, we don't know if it was cancelled or not.

It's believed to have been because of the "1" shown on the Volume cover, but the Manga was announced to end before the reveal of the Volume, so that doesn't really match. It's also said by fans that there was nothing more to do with this Spin-Off anyway, as it's literally only about a glimpse of what Eris has done after a certain point of the story.

I don't feel as if this work ended prematurely at all, regardless of if it was cancelled or not.

This piece serves as a spin-off supplementary work that bridges the gap between where Eris left at the end of LN volume 6 until she rejoins the main storyline later.

It introduces us to a handful of relevant characters, namely Nina Farion, Isolde Cluel, Gino Britz, Gal Farion, Reida Reia, and Auber Corvette. All these characters get to know Eris and some of them build bonds with her.

By introducing us to these characters and showing the personal growth Eris has to go through at the sword sanctum, we're set up beautifully for her return as well as any future appearances for the other named characters.

After all, Mushoku Tensei loves making callbacks.
