i remember watching the 1st season while it was airing and it was enjoyable, but i couldn't stand the 2nd season for some reason.
is it worth it to watch season 2&3 just so i could watch the fourth season when it airs? will it get better in this season, or did it already get better in the last season?

Look, man. The pacing in this show is terrible I'm ngl. But it's fun to watch. Kazuya has to be the only annoying aspect, or one of 'em, in the show. I personally enjoyed the previous 3 seasons. It's a good watch. I won't call it bad bad. It just has slow pacing and terrible progress. So to answer your question, yes. Watch season 2 and 3 then prepare for s4. You enjoy seeing Mami, Sumi, Chizuru, Yaemori? 'Cause I do. If you at least enjoy seeing the girls, go for it.

Edit: Some people do find it "not worth watching" cause of its back and forth progress but that's just how it is. Even I find it annoying but kept on watching. Despite all of this, I personally still like the show. So it's all up to you.

No, save your time and save your sanity. The series peaked at season 3, but it's still like a 5/10 compared to the other seasons which are 4/10. And it's gonna keep going downhill from there

@CheliosX you can't hate the pacing, because there's none, but it's still peak

Lmao, that's accurate. I still like the anime despite the non existent pacing.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜πŸ™πŸΎ

I've seen every episode but I honestly just watch it because of how bad it is. It's an absolutely atrocious romance but it's a decent drama. As long as you're not expecting real character development then you can sit through those seasons.

Here's my take on this series:

The first season was good. It was a standard romcom with a niche premise. Up until that point, I had never heard of a rental service and finding out that it actually did exist in Japan shocked me. It was a 7/10 at best but I enjoyed; it was just another romcom. The storyline, if you could call it that, was okay. The mc, even among romcom and harem mcs, was annoying. But the waifus, the main selling point, were good; plenty of material to back that up. When a second season was announced, I figured "why not?"

Here's why not:
Halfway through, I was told the truth. The manga goes on for hundreds of chapters without any development or progress of any meaningful impact. It reuses storylines, plot developments, and character "growth" from previous chapters then resets it all again so that it can do it again a dozen chapters later. Any steps forward are immediately followed by a backpedal to ensure it can keep going for as long as possible. I applaud the author; they discovered an infinite money glitch in real life. I dropped the series and thought good riddance.

Then season three is announced and somehow someone convinced me this one was worth watching. I will say, season three was the best season so far. I actually laughed that they introduced an insert for the audience members that wanted to just shove the leads into each other's faces as an actual character in the story. Also, SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

Going into a season four, I'll probably watch it. I have severe OCD, so leaving a series incomplete feels wrong to me. It takes a lot to make me drop a series; it has to be absolute dog water or really not vibe with me. However, I've been told that this season should adapt Ch. 218, someone correct me if that is wrong. I actually read Ch.218 and, if nothing else, I have to see how that gets animated. That chapter made me realize that as long as they don't show very specific parts, they can get away with showing whatever the hell they want.

No, S1 is decent in romcom terms but the series overall is awful and it gets worse.

Series is okay. Season 1 is pretty meh to bad, Season 2 and 3 are way better. Not a 8/10 series, but enjoyable.

i had a soft spot for season three because that arc is leagues better than the rest of the show, but short answer is no. There is some sustenance to be found in the anime which condenses the boring and isn't as far as the manga, but beyond that there is not much good.

It's never going to get better. If you didn't liked season 2 and couldn't handle the cringe then I would recommend you to just drop it. It only gets worse hereon from what I've heard. I personally am looking forward to it :p

s3 is the highlight of ALL the story, so if you enjoyed the 1st, i think you might like s3. However the contents of s4 are absolute dogshit bro, they are garbage. Like the author spent so much chs developing kazuya in the arc of s3 , showing him as a reliable person and a normal human being talking to a girl, and this arc of s4 destroys this, we get a kazuya back to how he was in the first ep of s1.

And imo the author really destroyed the series with this arc tbh

Season 3 is unironically where the series peaked.

If you couldn't bear to watch Season 2, the material for Season 4 is where things really, really went downhill.

Whatever character development Kazuya gets halted or is backtracked. And Chizuru is made dumber and more immature from here on out.

Since you DO want to watch it, yes. Feel free to skip ahead or even watch incomplete episodes but in any case it is better to endure whatever you have unfinished of season 2 and enjoy season 3 before the insanity of 4.

Season 3 was nice. I mean it was nice for a reason you wouldn't expect in an anime like this, and if you started watching the anime for the reason most people probably do, you may not have an interest in the reason it was nice. But it was nice.

why do the avid haters of this show always have to be shallow and witless at same time like pick a struggle damn
