What order do you think the movies will be in? (Manga readers)

ANIME ONLYS BEWARE!! YOU MAY BE SPOILED!!

Now I think we’ve established that the movies are going to be mainly about each upper three moons’ fights, but here’s my question- will they do Akaza’s or Doma’s first?

This has been my concern ever since the movies were announced, as they fights do happen simultaneously, and they effect each other to an extent, but they most probably won’t show snippets of other fights in each movie. So naturally, you’d think that they’d start with the upper 3’s fight, and then go up, but then something like Shinobu’s death, which has a pretty major impact on Tanjiro and Giyuu mid-fight, would probably be obscured. So do you think they’d start with Douma’s instead? Or how do you think they’d go around this?

The first fight would probably be Akaza vs Giyu and Tanjiro. After that, Douma vs Shinobu, Kanao and Inosuke. Then, Kokushibo vs Gyomei&Sanemi and Muichiro stuck in the wall by Kokushibo’s katana. Finally, the fight between Muzan and rest of the Hashiras alive along with Tanjiro.

I believe that’s the right order, I’ve read all the manga as well.

What could be solid is if they do giyu first and right before Shinobu death and how it affects them, it does the douma fight, that way it wouldnt feel obscure and the second movie would continue with the second half of giyu and tanjiro

So far adaptation was 1:1 faithful, so I don't see why they would change the order.

@Piromysl because the first half of Doma’s fight started before Akaza’s, and I’d assume they would make every fight completely separate in the movies no?

This is my guess:


First movie

Chapter 140 to 163 of the manga (Kaigaku vs Zenitsu | Shinobu, Kanao and Inosuke vs Douma | Tanjirou and Giyu vs Akaza)


Second movie

Chapter 164 to 183 of the manga (Genya, Tokito, Sanemi and Gyomei vs Kokushibou | Mitsuri and Obanai vs Nakime | Muzan awakes)


Third movie

Chapter 184 to 205 of the manga (Everyone vs Muzan | epilogue)


It may seem like a lot of chapters per movie compared to the Mugen Train movie, but considering the large number of action scenes and that movies don't necessarily have to be less than 2 hours long, I think it's possible.

The first movie should be the Demon Slayer core getting used to the infinity castle as well as The Kaigaku vs Zenitsu fight, Nakime vs Obanai and Mitsuri, and The Akasa fight. The 2nd should be Doma vs Inosuke, Shinobu, and Kanao, Then Kokoshibo vs Genya, Sanemi, Muichiro, and Gyomei, and beginning of Muzan fight. The 3rd should be the finale and then the sunrise countdown arc.

doesn't makes sense the Nakime fight in the 1 st movie, that when the castle is destroyed

@Piromysl As usual you are not able to do 2+2 and understand that interrupting the fights several times in a trilogy of films would be anticlimactic

@Leon888 Personally I would do this:
1 film: presentation of the characters + fight between Zenitsu and Kaigaku and fight between Akaza vs Tomioka and Tanjiro (here I would not include Shinobu's fight but would only report from the crow that Shinobu died at the hands of the 2nd moon)
2 films: I would show Shinobu, Kanae and Inosuke vs Douma and then I would show the fight between Obanai and Mitasuri vs Nakime with the ending Yushiro in dim light who says he has a plan to defeat Nakime (scene after the credits I would put Muichiro meeting Kokushibo)
3 film: film dedicated to the fight against Kokushibo with the ending Muzan awakening

then for the countdown arc I don't know how they will adapt it if they make a season or another film

i think that first movie-Zenistu vs kaigaku, Akaza vs Giyu & Tanjiro. 2nd movie- Douma vs shinobu,kanao,inosuke And Kokushibo vs Gyomei,muichiro,sanemi,Genya And Nakime vs Mitsuri & Obanai. 3rd movie- Muzan vs all.

@Leon888 The countdown arc is included in this trilogy.
