There has been no post on this since a long time so I thought of making the post

Now my questions:-

1. Wasn't the ending a sad one don't know why I felt it but maybe I wanted them to have a banquet with everyone after some years and see how they all have grown and now are parents kinda stuff. Yes the ending after that of grandpa&grandma would good

2. What happened to momiji-kun & kagura like all the other got their partner.

Wake up to reality! Nothing ever goes as planned in this accursed world. The longer you live, the more you realize that the only things that truly exist in this reality are merely pain, suffering and futility.Everywhere you look in this world, wherever there is light, there will always be shadows to be found as well.As long as there is a concept of victors, the vanquished will also exist. The selfish intent of wanting to preserve peace, initiates war and hatred is born in order to protect love.

The closest we have to that is Fruits Basket Another, which is a sequel web manga that follows a girl who meets the kids about 20 years in the future. I’ve heard mixed reviews, but I’m planning to read it soon, since Fruits Basket’s my favorite manga :) so I can let you know if it’s worth reading.

I only read the first 5-10 chapters, but from what I saw, it centered around a new girl meeting the next generation of somas (all the old main characters' kids)

That’s stupid, a longer epilogue would’ve been so much better. How are they even going to make a new generation story interesting? The soma curse is already broken.
Missed opportunity to not finally show us Yuki and Machi walk through the snow together, and start dating in the first place. They could’ve also showed us Tohru and Kyo’s wedding. The far future has no story potential, but the near future does and it’s completely overlooked.
