This slavery apology is disgusting. The author somewhat feels morally at ease after telling us "slavery good if the slaves are not worked to death", actually thinking that explanation is gonna quell our disgust for slavery, when all it does is show how twisted the author's own sense of morality is.

Like the slave trader said people who only have a shallow idea of slavery think it’s negative IN A ISEKAI!! Remember this is a fantasy fictional manga. The author can make up whatever rules he wants. This isn’t the real world. You really think the real world would have slave owners who take care of their slaves well? Well there are thousands if not millions of cases throughout history of their being real nice slave owners. Who treated their slaves well, fed them well, educated them, even paid them and even set them free after a certain number of years. It’s just that the bad slave owners stick out more and is more common. If you technically think about it adopting a child is basically like buying a slave. You pay for them. They become yours. You can treat them however you want and make them do whatever you want. If they refuse you can abuse them. Of course this is illegal and if you abuse another person let alone a child you go to jail but that’s if the police find out. How many stories have come out where the parents or adoptive parents treated their kids like slaves and prisoners malnourished and sick or injured, living a miserable life only to be saved by running away or a neighbor found out, those are the ones that we hear about how many kids today are still waiting to be saved, child soldiers, child sex slaves, kid slaves etc. at least in this Isekai world they form a magically contract where the slave owners have to buy their slaves and the slave gets a huge chunk of that. Then they are taken care of and if not the owner can be turned into a slave. It’s a lot better than other isekai’s that have slaves a lot better
