[spoiler]. So if they make another season is it going to be a romance? Ngl I started watching this show thinking it was gonna be one and then continued to up till about episode 19 lol.

Then they had her finally meet them at the end and like the last couple seconds of the episode was them about to hold hands if not wanting to, Shows seem to put that as romantic feelings are developing between two people from what I’ve noticed.

I don’t want any manga spoilers I’m just wandering if it would be a romance?

Still war focused & sprinkled with few romance scenes here & there...

But i cant call it a romance atleast on what the 2nd season can potentially cover...

-Currently read all the way to the end of Volume 10..

Yeah not getting into anything specific spoiler wise but it would still only be bits and pieces as far as a season 2 would be concerned. It would still be more than season 1 had but not enough to call it a romance.

Volume 7 is the only romantic volume as far as I remember. I have only read 12 volumes though~

Romance starts in volume 7, which will most likely be covered by season 3 (if it comes out)

Volume 7 is the only one which focuses more on romance, and even that season has its moments of world building. Every other volume has its focus on mostly action tbf.

86 isn't about romance so keep your expectations low if that's what you are seeking

There is a bit more of romance in volume 7 like others have said but it's mostly here to build the personality of the characters and how they see their life at war.

Shin x Lena will be confirmed and Anju will have her lot too but there won't be anything interesting (plotwise) for their relationship (Except maybe for Anju in volume 13). They will just be lovers and go on with it.

I think the best way to categorise the series is a military drama. Since there is some romance, but also some other deeper character development.

First season has very much been the introduction to the setting and characters, now the actual character development and lore exploring starts.

- PS currently reading book 9, season 1 covered 1-3

Don't get me wrong I like every action of this anime but it was that little hint of romance and sadness that kept me going in this anime and the last scene was the best so if they made more seasons of this anime i definitely love to see more romance along side with the action and yea it can be one of the best action romance anime ever.
