Man this guy is actually just more than a strict/rule follower he's actually mentally messed up. Look I understand the danger of magic but man doesn't even listen. Literally, just memory wiped his how captain. Rules and laws etc maybe made for protection but they're flawed and may not always be the way. Man is choosing to fight a child, memory wipe his own captain and one of the wise, and destroy this contraption instead of actually helping come up with a way to help save lives.

Vianna is right - she did teach him too well, like this goes beyond being law abiding, that's pure black & white thinking, makes me wonder whether something happened in the past that makes this personal
I chased fame, fortune and CANDY during MALoween 23

No, it isn't. That guy is basically a fanatic who is willing to sacrifice a entire city just to protect a broken system that has showed time and time again how full of flaws it is. Is impossible to argue with people like this.

@gabrielloki No he isn't. Reread the manga to remember why the forbidden magic are forbidden in the first place.

I know there is a very understandable reason for why they made the pact and all that. But is undeniably obvious that this guy is being framed as the wrong one in this scene. The story has already give many clues that the current system that governs the world of witches is, at very least, quite sketchy if not completely messed up. That doesn't mean the people who work for it are evil or even ill intended necessarily, but someone like this dude, who isn't even willing to see a fraction of nuance in it are completely out of their mind. He's been indoctrinated into thinking the pact is absolute and anyone who even dares to question it should be punished immediately and have is memories erased (witch is a form of mind control). I don't know about you, but I find that quite dystopian.

@gabrielloki You could say the same for Coco then. Who doesn't want to listen to what these guys think and is stuck up on changing the rules for reasons she believes is right and that she's in the right.

lol. That's basically the false equivalence fallacy. Coco might be a little immature sometimes (after all, she's just a kid), but she's not unreasonable. She had reflected and empathize with other people's perspectives, unlike Mr. Pact there who isn't even listening to his own master.

Then that's a loss for humanity. We all have the rights to share our absurd ideas rather than staying silent. Bigger stuff will happen if it's all being played out like nothing. Coco's making her escape, now I'm worried about everyone else involved in the plan, knowing this clock will be humanity's safeguard hopefully.
