English Sub or Dub?

I almost exclusively do English Sub, but I'm considering English Dub if it's good. Vikings in England speaking Japanese just seems wrong?

watched the dub and it was fine, can’t compare to sub but wasn’t a distraction from the setting/genre

I only watched the sub, but the few clips I’ve seen dubbed were actually pretty good. I’d still recommend the sub howver, cause it’s better than the dub

the dub is really good imo (netflix) but for me, some of the background actors pulled me out of it a little.

if you picked dub just know there's two dubs the Netflix one and the sentai one. I personally loved the Netflix dub but the sentai dub isn't all bad either. So which ever you wanna hear the most

Nothing wrong with the sub, tbh, the thought of Japanese sounding weird in this setting never even occurred to me. I suggest trying both for one or two episodes, and see how it goes.

With that logic, vikings speaking English would also be wrong, so I just stick to the original as I do with everything I watch.

I’ve seen some clips from the Sentai Dub i think and it’s pretty good. The Sub is still the definitive way to watch anime. Netflix Dub is also good.

Japanese Version is great.

But if you want to do the English dub, do Netflix Dub for the first few episodes.

Then switch to Sentai dub once the timeskip happens.

The reason is this.

Thorfinn's child VO is terrible in Sentai. Everyone else however is better than the Netflix one.

Plus Sentai has the better script. The language is less plain compared to Netflix.

Dub is almost always better then sub, back in the past there is a more clear difference but now there really is none and everyone puts it there all on both sides. Plus they sound the same, it just sounds weird because you know English speaking people don’t talk that way but same with people who speak Japanese
