I think it's kind of stupid to end a season right in the middle of a battle arc, like, of it got through the entire arc I would be fine with 13 eps but it didn't.

@BasedYosuke What do you mean it didn't get through the entire arc. Huan yi(Kan Ki) won the battle with minimal casualties and the enemy general was slain. Edit: It was cut in the middle of the short arc following the battle but the battle arc was finished.

I went into this expecting 26 episodes because all previous seasons were a minimum of 26 episodes so it feels wrong. And Season 5 showcased some good themes and character development especially when they finally got rid of that horrid storyline involving Zheng fighting to hold the throne, so it was such a shame that they cut it short when it was getting good and didn’t get a chance to grip audiences. No Season 6 renewal was also a surprise

Yeah I am. One of the reasons I started watching was because of the many episodes per season. Also I like when anime does something that’s not mainstream so yeah it’s very disappointing when then they suddenly change it up.

No, because I know that Kingdom is super popular in Japan so there will certainly be more anime seasons. I don't mind waiting, otherwise I would have already read the manga.

I'm more concerned with the fact that, storywise, this fifth season was on the same level as s2 and s4, which is pretty good but not on as great as s1 and s3.

They're clearly saving season 6 for that Western Zhao Arc, it'll be back to two cour series.
