@kikikanli have you read the manga? And if yes does the manga make any differences or keeps it the same to light novel?

Light novel is the prime resource. So, I highly recommend you to read the light novel than the manga. The light novel has the wider chapter and volume than the manga as well.

The manga has an actually good review score, which makes sense even if it is rare for an adaptation to surpass the original in score. The series has a fun premise of an undead protagonist and race evolutions, but the world-building is not great (to put it charitably) and neither is the character writing (Lorraine aside) so the added detail of the light novel adds less to the story than the images and faster progression of the manga.

I haven't read the light novel, but having read the manga, watched the anime, and analyzed the situation I definitely recommend the manga.

Oh and for the record, I'm here looking for where to start the manga. I put it on-hold when I ran out of chapters and am coming back because I watched the adaptation.

I've read both and the manga and anime both diverge from the LN. The events are roughly the same, but the manga and anime do a much better job and condensing and focusing it to make it more entertaining. The LN meanders about heavily, with lots of asides and internal monologues. Ultimately, the manga does a far better job than the LN and the anime appears to be mostly based off of the manga. Which is a good thing.

There's 12 volumes out, I don't really know but it appears as if it's released every month. The manga doesn't go that far from the anime.
