Does the dub still hold up after 28 years?

Do you think that the Lodoss war dub still holds up after 28 years? I believe so, so much that the Japanese creators preferred the dub version.

I don't think it does because some of the voices change. For like one episode.

I watched it in dub recently. It's fine. I found most of the important characters like Deedlit, Ashram and Parn have decent to good voice acting.
