Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai (light novel)
| EDIT: The dub was released as a double feature (both Venturing Out and Knapsack Kid) in theaters on Monday, March 25th They did a really solid job. Kaede and Sakuta were well casted, Mai maybe even more so. All the side characters felt very accurate to their japanese versions. I think Kaede's panda version was a bit off, but then again she sounds kind of odd in the original anyways. I think overall my favorite casting was probably Kaede, although she's a big focus in both the movies so that might be part of it. | wait what? 1. I did not know it even had a dub, why would they dub the new movies but not everything before it? 2. I am gonna be watching it tomorrow, and now i have realised that i have no idea if its the sub or dub version that i will be watching. I generally like go with dub over sub if the dub is good, but i am like right now binging the entire thing to remember everything for the movies.... so it would be jarring to switch now. Edit: I watched the movie and checked out the clip just now. The voices aren't bad, but as I thought I'm too used to the japanese. I think the Mc sounds a little more deadpan in the japanese, which I think matches his character better, and Mai's voice is so different that I got taken back. I'm sure it's fine once I get used to it, but yeah. I might rewatch the whole thing one day in dub too if they dub the entire thing. It's not going to be anytime soon though. |

| Wow, I didn't know there was a Dub of this movie, I will check it out. Must of been testing to see the response, in case they wanted to Dub the rest. I hope it did well, because I would re-watch the entire series if that happened. I did think it was strange that the Kaede had the book at the end of the series, now I know. I wonder how she got that diary. And why in the world did they have that dream at the beginning and have Mai show up at the end like that? (hypothetical question, please no spoilers) It had no relation to the rest of the movie at all, and only makes me want another series or movie. That is an awful way to treat your fans 🤣 |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.  |
