I understand your hope, but the "Anime Awards" of Crunchyroll have absolutely no weight for the Japanese market, and therefore, the continuation of the adaptation. It literally just is a popularity contest done by an American licensor of Anime. It could be a different story if the Anime was produced by Crunchyroll themselves, tho.

Uff, you are extremely high on copium, then. There is not even any beach chapters in the Manga to begin with, there are just 2 or 3 artworks.
We have more chances for a continuation of the original OVA Series, to be honest.

I was watching it live, and was happy that Horimya: The Missing Pieces won the romance category, but it's not surprising at all considering the fact that the Crunchyroll Anime Rewards is, for the most part, about popularity anyway. (Would not pain to believe in that hope tho)

This would good but honestly the Kaguya-Sama movie (which wasn't even nominated, ty Crunchyroll) deserved to win this a lot more, especially since this season of Horimiya was focussed a lot more on comedy or SoL

imo there were better romances. pieces was more like a sol. but horimiya is more popular so it makes sense.

True, those are just 10 pages, with most panels about far-away shot of the characters tho (there is not many dialogues too). They would need to re-work it a lot to adapt it into an OVA.

Insomniacs was a better romance than Horimiya: Piece but i have no problems about it being given the award

The only complaint I have is dangers in my heart not even being nominated, They literally put two other shows which had little to no romance throughout its airing.
The only hope left is season 2, I'll hope that crunchyroll doesn't let their bias take over in next year's awards too

It was nominated for Best Film tho, but Suzume won that category because of course it does

nothing to add to this topic except it was well deserved
Dangers in my heart is a very good romance (i myself alr forced 3 of my friends to watch it) but i dont PERSONALLY consider it as good as Horimyia, Horimyia has that "real" feeling to it where situations, doubts, feelings are all very realistic, the relationships are all very cute and healthy, what can i say, there is also many more "main characters" and alot of development for them so it never feels repetetive. Dangers in my heart makes "KYAAAAA🥰😘😭" lots of times but Horimyia heals my heart everytime i watch it

I love horimiya and I am happy they recognize the series value!

However why would it win "best romance"?? there is almost no development in Miyamura and Hori relationship in this "new season" (its just a bunch of chapter that didnt got adapt in the firt one in 2021) and with the side character same thing. Its pure slice of life / high school.

But what triggers me the most is that "Dangers of my heart" wasnt even nominated...!? I swear if it was I would vote for that and honestly IT SHOULD HAVE WON "best romance"! Common if you dont agree you just didnt watch the show!

I would however give "best slice of life" for horimiya its just a much more fit award for this. OR... Here me out, SKIP AND LOAFER! I loved that show and am caught up to the manga already!
(ps: I am a hardcore horimiya fan, it was one of my first slice of life/romance anime and the one who MADE me grab the manga as soon as the last episode ended, I read those 120...something chapters in 3 days, so donr take this as free hate I damn love the series!)

And of course I would not just take away Bocchi for wining at least 1 award, SHE DESERVED BEST COMEDY! Best slice of life? amh? whyyyy?
