Finally, it's over. >_< Ling will be an older brother.
I thought this was a better season but I spoke too soon when they didn't introduced the previous characters, it became more tiring to only watch the main characters.
They left out most of them and that's why it's sad.

I didn't get to see more of Kyuumiya, Yoshiko.
Definitely my type of girl. I like her than the rest of the girls, I guess but I also liked the other girl from the other faction, namely, Yin, Shabei.
She was also forgotten, unfortunately.

It's sad to say that we didn't get any of them in this season, and they only added new villains, but removed the more entertaining supporting characters.
I guess the author got bored of them? Huh...

I am mostly appalled when they gave a lot of character development for Xiaoyu and she barely got a spotlight in this series.
Also, why is she still using her, uhh, school track uniform and eyeglasses. The former is gaudy and iirc, the latter was fake eyeglasses...
The author should get more creative and make her more a sight for sore eyes.

Anyway, that's that. I'm mostly disappointed with this season.

So so much to say for this season.
First of all, Wang Ling's dad is such a Chad. I can't wait to see his interaction with his younger brother and or sister. Needless to say, besides his outburst in the first season, there's nothing much to his character right now, which is such a shame. Also, the intro and ending sequences seemed to have so much more lore than the actual show. We had his friends fighting each of the evil assailants on their own in them, and considering the two guys of the group are much of goons and side characters than actual characters with their own nuance, I feel like they deserved better and should've had better developments this season.
Despite all this, I'd say this season probably had the most consistent amount of absurdity all packed in one. Considering I now think of this show as more of a parody than an actually well-versed show, I don't really expect much out of it but it would be so cool if they improved on it. The fights scenes were overall much better and consistent in animation, and was overall more formulaic than the previous seasons.
I could watch more and more seasons of this any day. It's just an overall vibe, that doesn't require much to get one engaged. I do hope the production value gets another overall boost in the next season though. By now, I could pretty much say it has a cult following hidden somewhere on the internet so it'd be worth it for sure.
I also liked this season more than the previous for some reason. Either way, I'm tapped in. Give me Demon Lord Family Elite Season, I'll watch it. And please make Wang Ling more rounded, as it stands now, he's way too flat a character.

One Last Word too, why couldn't they just write the last fight as a normal one, but had to make it out to be some kind of movie esque charade for only the two friends who didn't know about it. I find it soo dumb, but I should know better by now. This show is just like that. There's so much more to say but I binged this so I'll end it here.



Edit: So I'm probably going to want to start the novel/manhua before I go any further to check if this is just an overexaggerated adaptation of absurdity or it's just as faithful. If it's the latter, then I guess I'll be sticking to the anime.
