Didn’t this anime originally have a girls love tag? Why was it removed/added in the first place?

The manga has the girls love tag, so whoever added the tag initially likely copied it over from there. There isn’t any explicit girls love in the show (heavily implied but not directly stated) so most likely the actual girls love happens later than what we got in the anime.

If you pick up the manga after episode 12 (chapter 30), both Umika X Yuu and Matataki X Haruno had developed their relationship in a way. But it is still implicit, I do agree that this series does GL very subtly (not like some GL series)
