There is enough content for a S2, but won't get one. This is definitely a 1 cour and done advertisement for the LN/Manga in the same way the authors other works are.

By the way, for all their faults in story telling, this authors strike rate at getting anime adaptations is scarily good.

The first season covered content from chapters 1 through 28 (volumes 1-3) and chapters 34-35 in volume 4.
There are currently 8 volumes released in English. volume 10 was released in Japan a few weeks ago.

There is more then enough content for another season.
The end of the anime suggested their might be another season, but stopped short of saying there would be.

The main problem with a possible 2nd season is the large time jump early in volume 6.


The author has 3 series on the web novel site Shōsetsuka ni Narō. All 3 were picked up for light novel publication, and all 3 have had anime (and manga) adaptations. All 3 also still have new chapters being posted for the web novel version.
One of those series apparently had one of the companies behind the anime say they were working on a 2nd season (in 2020), but nothing has been heard about it since.

I doubt it, especially since "Average Abilities" never got a second season and "80,000 Gold Pieces" seems unlikely to get one either - and at least in my opinion "Potions" is the lesser of the three.

of the three titles... i doubt any one of them will get any more anime content. they're all probably just pump-and-dump single season shows made to bump the sales of the print books and make a minimal profit for all the shows' investors.
