what to expect with this series

if I didn't like lucifer and the biscuit hammer story nor the animation, what should I expect with this series?

Better animation for sure and a story pretty classic but imo cool.
Action and chill moments.
A good journey.

Watch it if you like Demon Slayer, it has a lot of similarities with Demon Slayer, siblings traveling, demons vs humans, simple power system, lot of action, similar character tropes. The story isn´t as shocking at the beginning of the series, it gets better later on. Characters in Sengoku are more flawed and has more development.

I started reading manga just to see how well White Fox will do with the adaptation. But don´t expect it to be anywhere near Ufotable level of animation from White Fox´s side project.

thanks! I don't like the demon slayer plot but I still watch it for the cool fights and characters. this series seems like an interesting series but I'm still not sure if I'll actually watch it or not when it comes out.

I wouldn't really compare it to Demon Slayer. On a surface level there are similarities but that's where the similarities end. It's pretty different from Demon Slayer. If you didn't like Demon Slayer's plot, then you don't have to worry about not liking Sengoku Youko's plot.

And just like that person said, it has a slow start. It's not bad but the start of the series isn't "special" and memorable.

Also keep in mind it's a complete adaptation. So you could wait until the anime finishes airing and see what people have to say about it.
