the k drama is absolutely different from what i have watched. completely different storyline i can say. characters are same though in k drama others arent shown much as shown in the anime. I feel like the anime is a better choice.

bonus (personal opinion) - anime opening is much better...

quite similiar, but there is some changes. i watched the kdrama first and i figure out this anime accidentally in Rakuten Viki. in the first view i dont noticed that its the same story, but as i watch the anime i was comparing with the kdrama story. Both are goods, i watched 14 episodes from the anime and until now i'm preferring the kdrama

Anime kind of just threw her aside to focus on the main 2 at some point so wondering if they either give her a meaningful role this time or just don't make it seem like she's important in the first place.

Doona! is different from the anime, and my understanding both are different from the webtoon. The Girl downstairs could change, if it gets a season 2 and mirrors the web toon.

The web toon's ending was "bad" for those that like romance and happy endings from what I read. Doona! wasn't as harsh, but still bad [unless you picked up the supposed hints and clues dropped in the openers and closers for the show, then it's a happy ending].

I think whether you like the kdrama vs anime depends on which you watch first. I watched the anime first and I thought it does a better job creating chemistry between the two MCs, vs the kdrama it's very sudden and then they're in a relationship; the anime draws out the tension between the two MCs better. The anime also did a better job making the two MCs likeable, vs the kdrama follows the webtoon more closely I guess. I thought the kdrama did a better job with other characters such as the high school love interest. If you like the romance, then the anime is better, with a better ending.
