It's not a sequel. It's a compilation of TV series which will cover all 12 episodes plus some new performance footage.

in the anime industry, movies are used to create season summaries. This was actually the main way these movies or OVAs were used some time ago. easy to produce cash grabs AND easier to "import" to foreign countries than the entire season.
Nowadays, luckily movies are being used more and more as a second format to continue telling the story of the adaptation (manga or ln)...

sadly this is not the case, although there's a lot of new material they could use for the movie this is going to be a compilation one. same season with a few extra details.
