Educational episode again. Interesting info dump about dog's instincts.

So, Sanju is still just a puppy. How cute. :)

Samura definitely made the right decision.

That vet is such a freak, lol.

It's much more serious than I thought, but to be fair, keeping pet is a serious topic, it's something that needs a lot of thoughts.

Pro-neuter vs pro-nature is a forever war, but at least in this case, pro-neuter wins due to an increasing risk of tumor.

Niwa think Samura is cute? What's clear is that Samura is a caring person, if he learn about a situation where "put down the dog" is one of the treatment option, his heart will surely torn into pieces.

Like it even if it was too long and not training centered.
Plus the doc character was stoopid, I just skipped his part.

Fun part was the mention of the different point of view between Japan and West about neutered dogs, shows how much the topic is mostly bias oriented. They could have mention that not neutering the dog (without problems, male and female) could lead to tumors too (for example you had to do it before the female dog is 2 years to reduce the risks of mammary carcinoma (not sure of the english name, in french it's "tumeur mammaire")) or even that a neutered dog is less aggressive. But as said before, maybe this one is bias oriented and totally unheard of in Japan.

This was a more serious episode tho again we get a bit of a yaoi subtext mixed in w the dog training lessons (probs bc Josei tag). I like how they delve into the moral conflicts a new dog owner go through wrt neutering and not try to be too preachy. As a former dog owner with multiple dogs who lived long and happy lives(10+ yrs) without being neutered, imo it's very much viable. Besides ethicality, there are also risks that arent as well advertised (wonder why).

Cried at this episode because I miss our senior dog who just passed away recently. He also got neutered and true indeed, a dog's life can be safer and longer if they had their balls removed. I miss you, King! :'(
