Ch. 45 Discussion -- Wtf is going on??

Am I the only one that has absolutely no idea what is going on? Now fair enough it's been a while since I've kept up with this manga, but I re read from around Ch. 28 (Start of Four Levels Below Arc) so I'm caught up with and reminded of the lore of the world. Anyways, like I was saying, its been a bit chaotic to say the least and I hardly have a clue what's been happening this recent chapters. The Guideau and Ashaf stuff is all fine and good, but this new conflict with the knights and all the witches its all over the place I can barely keep up with this!!

The storm arc is basically introducing Angela’s coven (presumably the villain faction of the story) and their current objective of procuring forbidden instruments and spreading them around the world (the grimoire from the 2nd arc was their doing, etc). Since the beginning of the story, the main goal of Guideau has been to find Angela which explains Guideau and Ashaf’s involvement in every single arc leading up to this one. So this is just a logical next step. But up to this point, Angela has had vague objectives so this explores her motives and faction in more depth and sets guideau and ashaf on more of a collision course with her rather than just chasing her shadow.

The action in the arc is so chaotic because the power level of witches in the series is absurd so when you put two groups of powerful witches/mages and have them go head to head, it’s gonna be crazy.

I actually really liked this arc and am really excited for what comes next. As much as a I liked the episodic adventures with ashaf and Guideau chasing after vague rumors of Angela, it finally feels like a villain faction is taking shape and the different factions (executioners, paladins, order) are preparing accordingly.
