Another enjoyable episode.
Its cool to see such mythology and fiction from another culture.
Definitely my initial exposure to some of this.

2 out of 3 episodes the mc's MORTAL parents have been to the sect. i don't get it. also, pretty pathetic by this antagonist guy to attack bystanders like that

and apparently mc's master is a bad guy who's looking to take advantage of mc. i thought master guy was just unaware of what that task master yellow robe dead guy was doing. but now it seems they were in cahoots

MC parents are not allowed in the sect. I was surprised they showed his parent as an audience. I guess the donghua wanted extra dramatic effect.

MC could only visit his parents if he has permission from his master which he did later on but this is before the competition. They skipped to the competition so fast 😆
