| @Kast2 staff usually remain silent on whether a show is renewed or cancelled. So I do find it odd why the ayakashi staff are in tears. If it was going to be renewed, they wouldn't be crying. Studio connect got absorbed by its parent. My personal guess is we probably won't see yabuki getting another anime for a long time if ever. He confirmed tlr ended, his darling in the franxx manga got cut by the creators, and ayakashi never broke above average sales. His only shot is to continue tlr but it involves Hashemi who is doing other projects. |
| It is a shame, but I will gladly read the manga. The art is pretty solid so that is a big plus. I enjoyed the anime, but next time they should limit the censorship by a lot. |

I don't know Japanese so I rely on translators and it translates to me as "I want to see the sequel!". So assuming it's right, yes Studio Connect will not make a second season, but there is still that very low possibility that another studio could take over the adaptation.

| @Alexioos95 probably just merch release with updated graphics. Black cat isn't as popular or old as rurouni kenshin. If yabuki is struggling to have this series get a sequel, I will be surprised if he can get an entire black cat anime remade |
| Wouldn't they be in tears because they actually finished this season and not getting another delay? The long wait was enough of a reason for them to be not in a usual situation, mainly because it's not a production issue, but rather a global issue. |
