Anyone feel some episodes feel way similar to doki doki literature club? (Spoilers)

Like for example in ep 4 where tadano gets kidnapped, i could feel the ddlc vibes just oozing off of it. Doesn't help that komi looks a lot like yuri and najimi resembles natsuki. Or is it just me..

@iLuvCoffee1 is that so? It seems like the directors must've played ddlc just before they started the animations lmao.

Those are barely similar. So many school anime have character designs like this.

This is reaching. Those character designs aren't very similar aside from 'anime characters'. Yamai is a completely deranged character, but even then that kidnapping plot hit badly and I think Oda has really pulled back to make her stalking funny rather than creepy since, to varying degrees of success. But I guarantee you any similarity to DDLC is unintentional.

I hate to tell you this, but the Komi manga was out a year before DDLC came out, so if you find any similarities, it might be the other way around. Not that I see any similarities. BTW, Yamai rules!

What, no. Physical differences aside and there is none. Yuri is gorgeous, Komi is bland. This is one of the comparisons i have seen.

People tend to find similiarities in two things they’ve recently gotten into. That’s definitely the case here.

Obsessive classmate = master manipulator (apparently)?
Yuri actually speaks, like she’s shy but besides that and her purple eyes/hair, and probably not intentional similarities I’d guess
Anya Forger = Natsuki?
DDLC is def a bit wacky, it’s a dating sim with a little twist, violent content by the way but I would recommend
