Is it worth reading?

I did not like the anime that much, it seemed to be a bad adaptation, rushing things and cutting important scenes, especially at the early episodes, but i found the plot really interesting and I was wishing that the anime had a better foundation, with a first few episodes to give us some context and to have sufficient time to better develop the characters. So, since I didn't like how things were presented at the anime, is it worth reading?

I enjoyed it. To be warned I think the first 5 books is season 1. There was some parts I almost gave up reading the series because they felt like it last forever.

Have not watched the anime, heard that Project No9 cut a ton of content similar to Angel Next Door.

I have read 3 volumes of the LN. Taste differs, it is more of comedy than romance. There are character development especially among the side characters.
