The anime series adapting Tamiki Wakaki's web manga will begin airing in October 2023. Cast Konoha Akisato: Aoi Koga (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen) Mamoru Rokuta: Atsushi Abe (IDOLiSH7) Kaori Shimoda: Ayako Kawasumi (Tomo-chan wa Onnanoko!) Meiko Uehara: Yui Horie (Azur Lane) Staff Director: Takashi Sakuma (Sword Art Online: Alicization assistant director) Main Story: Tamiki Wakaki (Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai), Tatsuya Takahashi (Saihate no Paladin series composition) Character Design: Masakatsu Sasaki (Tonikaku Kawaii) Sound Director: Satoshi Motoyama (Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun) Music: Yashikin (Ore ga Suki nano wa Imouto dakedo Imouto ja Nai) Studio: Silver Singer Shoko Nakagawa (Punch Line) is performing the opening theme "65535," pronounced as "Roku Go Go San Go." Nagakawa's new single, which includes the opening theme, will go on sale on November 1. Wakaki, Misato Mitsumi (To Heart 2), and AQUAPLUS' Tatsuki Amazuyu (Utawarerumono) originally began publishing the title as a doujinshi at Comiket 91 in 2016. The trio released seven volumes until Comiket 97 in 2019. Kadokawa acquired the manga for commercial publication and shipped the first volume under its Kadokawa Shoten Tankobon label in September 2020. The second volume shipped in November 2021. | I'm still kind of bummed we aren't getting an adaptation, I would've enjoyed that for sure (and would be an educational experience as well); but almost no one under the age of 30 in Japan would have no clue about the PC-98 outside of maybe educational software if even that. I haven't heard much about Yui in a while either. |
