Sakurai is Geto VA also Anos VA in the first season, due to his problem he had to leave several roles including Anos but at least he managed to keep the role of Geto for this season. It is unfortunate that this was not the case with his other roles. Sakurai was not the VA of Anos. Tatsuhisa Suzuki was. He apparently attempted suicide because he cheated on his wife (LiSA) who was also on a break after she got cheated. Acfording to many people, they both reconciled and are still married to each other, but this incident had a huge blow on Suzuki's career since he was removed from most of his popular roles including Anos from misfits and Draken from TR. Sakurai's story is different. He was in relationship with another woman for around 10 years even though he was married. The only reason I could think he did not lose most of his roles is because he is an S tier Voice actor (my opinion). Chika250 said: wtf? what Sakurai or Geto have to do with this anime? The OP was just pointing out how both the VAs shared the similar crime(figuratively), but one of the VA (Sakurai Takahiro) was given a break and did not lose as many lead roles. But the other (Tatsuhisa Suzuki) lost a lot of major roles including Anos from Misfits. |

| The thing is that Suzuki tried to hang himself and the rope likely damaged his throat, reason why they had to replace him in the shows starring him that were in production at the time. After his recovery he has pretty much being able to retake most of his old roles, including Ban, Makoto, Shiva and Ohma. There's also the fact Suzuki also broke his contract when he showed the woman he was having the affair with an unreleased CD of Free, while Sakurai's thing was mostly personal as far as I know. |
