Uhmmm.... I didn't read the manga so I can't make comments on the quality of the adaptation. The anime , yes it's pretty cliché and doesn't have any relationship and emotions development ( it just begins from him being in love to her ), BUT.... In terms of animation I can say I quite like this new approach of the angles and the CGI it's pretty well used.

I don't read the manga but honestly the MC is so damn annoying. Way more annoying than one of the most cringe MCs ever (I'm looking at you Cain von Silford).

Eps 1 was boring as hell. Eps 2 was pretty good and eventful, except the repetition part with a plane in the background. That was so damn annoying. It gives me an STD every time I remember it. Why, just why, if it only happens once then it can be considered a comedy. But repeat it 3 fucking times in a row? Yeah, that's as annoying as my Yandere ex-girlfriend.

The animation in eps 1 is kinda weird, but I can still tolerate it.

The Animation is just a result of classic GoHands making the most horrendous yet gorgeous pile of shit ever created. I genuinely think their only good production was 'K' They constantly go in between using great CGI and horrible CGI. They have great colors and closeups yet the way they animate movement is unnatural.

They should really stick to series that would suit this aesthetic cause this series about two 13 years experiencing their first love shouldn’t be this dramatic and animated, like it’s actually so upsetting seeing a manga I love before forced to become this melting pot of beautiful and ugly animation…also yeah I hate how they are forcing them to act more mature and how he already knows he’s in love when the charm is that they’re dorks who don’t know about love until they start dating

Bruh honestly It's good to know that the manga isn't like this. I might just pick it up if the third episode is as bad as the second. What is up with studios changing shit from the source material? Cloverworks did that with BGS and the amount of scenes that were cut out/changed is unbelievable. It just changes the narrative and how the audience perceives the characters.

If you think Cain is one of the most cringe MCs ever… you haven’t watched enough anime yet. He’s really only a 4 or 5/10 in how cringe he is. Watch something like Masamunes revenge or Rent a girlfriend, there will be multiple scenes where you want to rip your eyeballs out and bleach them.

I've watched them all, and yes my comment stands still, he's one of the most cringe MCs ever. Masamune imo isn't as cringe, and even if he is, he isn't making me feel annoyed, at least not as much as Kaede Komura and Cain. Now that you mention it, Kazuya is fucking trash as hell. Everytime I see there is a new Rent a Girlfriend manga chapter, I wanted to NTR Chizuru in front of Kazuya if I can. I hate him to the core.

If we’re talking horrible MCs then that retard Natsuo from Domestic Girlfriend and Yukiteru from Future Diary are both definitely up there. Yukiteru isn’t as bad as Kazuya, but Natsuo is close. I hated him so much after watching that dogshit anime, and after hearing about how the manga ended it just made me hate him even more.

Yeah exactly, i also experienced the same . I couldn't tolerate anymore so i dropped it . why the fuck, it is one of the most anticipated anime this season i don't know.

How did you reach that conclusion? After the first few pages it goes back to around the time they first met.

In the manga he's just freaking out because she's getting so close to him, not that he's in love, like the anime.

Okay i read more of the manga and it's still the same, " In the manga he's just freaking out because she's getting so close to him, not that he's in love, like the anime." in the first PAGE of the manga he literally says he's in love with Mie.

Also "After the first few pages it goes back to around the time they first met." that happens in the middle of chapter 14 and 15, its just a BONUS STORY

I read both the Official and Unofficial translations and they are still the same, i also read the twitter version which is slightly different but still mostly the same..

This is incredibly stupid so im just gonna be watching from the sidelines.

(which is why i hate her), the manga is so good and i think Natsuo as a character is really good (i won't dismiss his flaws but they're not cringe or annoying, just lack of courage and honesty is all), also if u happen to reply to this please make sure you read the manga first as the anime butchered the story and characters to oblivion so plz pretend the anime never happened and read the manga with that in mind and i promise u you'll enjoy it for what it's worth.
