I watched it in Japanese dub because it takes place in medieval Japan (there's some kind of supernatural here iirc?). Since they release the simuldub the same day as the Japanese TV broadcast, a lot of you might've watched it. Is the English dub good?

Yeah the dub is incredible. I ended up deciding to watch it since it was getting simuldubbed and I'm really glad I did.

The dub it pretty good compare to other anime. The sub is also good too.

Well if it an anime has a dub I watch it in dub always, I even wait for Tonikawa to be released in dub just because I really like how tsukasa has the same VA as Kyouko from Madoka Magica. However the Heroine's dub VA just sounds wrong. She has a nice voice but it just sounds too weird to hear it in an anime and I just can't focus because it doesn't fit her at all. You can try watching the first like 5 minutes in dub to see if you like it. I can say that the japanese VA sounds perfect. This anime and Tomo chan is a girl are the only 2 animes which I watched in sub when there's a dub released, just because the English VA for the heroine doesn't sound natural. But you have to listen to both and watch whatever floats your boat.

I think the dub is great. I don’t know what to expect from this but the first episode definitely left its mark.

I can't fathom how anyone could think this was a good dub, but I guess actual dub watchers can't afford to have high standards.

The English dub has been quite good so far. It triggers the emotions very effectively which is key for a show like this one.

Well, I prefer English dubs so if an anime is available that way, I’ll watch it over subs.

That being said, I may be biased but I truly think the first two episodes so far were very well dubbed.

I especially like the FL performance - she really puts the sadness and emptiness in her voice that the character is experiencing.

My wife only watches dubbed if she can help it. I for one do not generally like them. However, this one's dub is quite good. Nice to have one we can both watch without complaints.

I've only seen ep 1, while the performance is good, the localization leaves smth to be desired. When Miyo first went to the Kudo household, she stated she was here for "the marriage arrangement with one Mr. Kiyoka Kudo" whereas the sub has her referring to him as "Kudo Kiyoka-sama", each carries different connotations.
The dub shouldve went with lord kiyoka for the context, same with the servant calling her should be lady saimori.
