I am sorry about the words after all hard work they put BUT.. this series was CRAP. I liked the concept of world switching.. loved the girls... but the story was awful.. I like op mc but the mc in this show was kind off boring he just had one emotion i.e "shocked" that's it. and show felt like it is going nowhere.

I feel like they dropped the ball there, after he discovered the new world he could have continued being overweight for the next few episodes. I really wanted to see the overweight Yuuya stick it to the bullies , his family and the school in general after seeing what he had gone through

We all love some character development and journeys don't we but this anime decides to skip all that shit making the mc have no personal growth whatsoever. And his personality is as cliche as any harem mc kindhearted af while getting all the girls.

Honestly for me, I hated the animation, most of the fight scenes were pure CGI, the direction felt awful with how characters moved on and off screen and it would only have 'good' animation is random spots that I don't care about.

Loved the anime the concept of switching worlds.Its a chill anime to watch.Everyone expects to see the mc to just have immense action scenes in every isekai bt this is great in its own way. i really liked it a lot personally ❤️

Maybe that’s why it didn’t hit for me. After watching the first episode , I was convinced the overweight Yuuya would have learned how to fight and stand up to the bullies, and gain enough confidence in himself

I thought the entire series was a joke. I mean the only way I could truly appreciate it was to think of it that way. It was like you asked an middle school kid to write an isekai, not only is he totally op absolutely everything works out for him (learning ancient text, being chosen by the sage etc.) and he's lusted after by both men and women. I'll give you lots of isekai, most really, are like that but generally they don't go quite over the top like they did with this.
I was thinking half the staff working on the show probably thought the same thing as some of the scenes kinda looked like they were making fun of the story. Would have been better if it was an overt comedy.

A hypnotic trash fire I just couldn't look away from.

I respect your opinion however I would like to speak on the behalf of those who thought this show was literally terrible including myself

First of all, the main concept of the story revolved around the protagonist who could switch between isekai & his original world which was the only new thing it offered. The fact that it didn't took even 1 proper episode for him to switch into a handsome hunk magically without any elaboration & with no adept quantity of struggle made it look really dumb & generic as we call it. Even the personality wise he hasn't too much to offer as he was always surrounded by the numerous girls or irrelevant side characters.

Every female character falling into for him with literally no proper reason besides his look & his actions was too dumb even from the harem standards, and the inconsistency of the story didn't help it either

There are even more points but well that should be enough

i see your point, but at this point why even hold that high of an expectation for any Isekai, the main problem with shows being a let down is that too many people think it'll be a masterpiece.

Even with the flaws of his "Fat to handsome" problem, it's still a great anime, the characters are well made, the story and world building is also great, not too good but still not worth the hate.

But of couse, this is only my opinion and I respect yours thoroughly.

Sure, I suppose that would have been more interesting. This is a power fantasy isekai, though. Can't have too much internal personal struggle and development when he can just lose the weight and become a yoked gigachad in an instant by magic.
