That sure was a generic backstory. Gill is doing essentially the same story as its main plot and its just as boring here. The drug power up was strange and I am interested to see how him being out of his mind on drugs somehow makes him a better boxer. Usually drugs make you feel good but perform poorly but I liked the trippy art.

The "Daddy would never do that" part was lame but I'm down for the drug trip powers on new guy.  Very funny

It's seems like story is slowly wrapping up.... after defeating this guy and learning father's super boxing techniques there will be no point of continuing this series.

It's looks like he has PTSD because of war (father encounter) so he is using some kinda drug that "calms him down".

As for Father killing his comrades like I said in I think first chapter it would be cool if author arrested war crimes that japanese did during WWII... as a reminder Japan allied themselves with Nazi Germany during WWII.
Manga recommendation:
- Spy x Family (Ch.109/? - biweekly) | Sakamoto Days (Ch.198/? - weekly)
- MARRIAGETOXIN (Ch.114/? - weekly) | Machi and Oboro (Ch.19/? - biweekly)
- Make the Exorcist Fall in Love (Ch.82/? - biweekly)
- Monochrome Days (Ch.11/? - biweekly)
Anime recommendation:
- Deca-Dence (Finished) | Wave, Listen to Me! (Finished)
- If My Favorite Pop Idol Made It to the Budokan, I Would Die (Finished)
- Diary of Our Days at the Breakwater (Finished)

Bruh I hate how this has turned from a boxing manga to a superpower manga.

People in Japan don’t care about World War 2 and they don’t care that Japan was apart of the axis or committed war crimes during the war. It’s a completely western thing.

That's why I said it would be cool if in this series author acknowledge this part of history... and I would argue countries that were attacked by Japan also care.
At the same time Japanese people learn about their war crimes and WWII history so it's not like they are oblivious to it.

Japanese schools don’t go as in depth as the west does with this stuff. If you talk to the average Japanese person about what happened in Manchuria or Korea they would have no idea. And the opinion of “it’s in the past and I wasn’t alive so I don’t care” is the normal one.
