One of the things that stood out to me as a kid when first viewing the film was its soundtrack and I feel like I haven’t seen much discussion about it.

There is this electronic artist AFS that I found while looking through Akira inspired music
Analogue Children
Akira Film Script II

Kanye has also cited the movie as one of his favorites and an influence on his work. But I’m looking for more instrumentals and compositions inspired by the score. What comes to mind for you?

Not influence but the same artist/trilogy of albums which Akira is 2. of

Geinoh Yamashirogumi's Echophony Rinne and Echophony Gaia. Should be listened to if you want to delve into similar deep spiritual journey.
