| Fitting final. Maybe it will sound grim/edgy but I really appreciate that Iza didn't get her arm back, that she is taller than Toya and he too lost arm also they are parents now. Also late but I like confirmation that other planets are also sentient and I guess Sun is their mother. Overall it was fine series, nothing spectacular but enjoyable but in the same time I think something was lost when this series stopped focusing on cooking and eating tasty food... like I think last time canned Kajiki was mentioned in chapter 11. and at least for me most enjoyable chapters were all those extra chapters focused on making food. I think it would be better if Kajiki stayed as "gods food" that eventually humans learned to hunt and cook. And thanks to Ryounkaku (tower from ch 11) we know time period was late Meiji era, (most likely) Taishō era or early Shōwa era, so there was potential for international arc and international Kajiki... imagine Kajiki bison. |
