Am I the only one who sees resident evil vibes?

just completed the manga today finally after dropping it on hold for a while.

the initial chapters where they had to discover the mystery and the sombre island isolated in some location ,reminded me of stuff like resident evil 4 or code veronica.

in addition they even had parts where they had to do actual puzzles to gain access to places, like the hiruko statue etc, it was almost exactly like the puzzles traditionally found in resident evil games.

and the whole shide or the large shadow is like nemesis from resident evil 3 that keeps chasing the player around the island etc and impossible to kill only to delay etc. 

also eventually on the second half it started to get more combat focused but it still felt like the progression is similar to resident evil, like how at the start of the game you are powerless and have to scavenge to survive, but at the end you are fighting people like albert wesker who can like dodge bullets and shit like matrix. the nail gun thing also reminds me of the bowgun from the original resident evil 2.


just a funny revelation.
