Greetings.

I kept thinking about Ergo Proxy throughout this show. Surely I can't be the only one?

I always try to keep up with the overall story and if I like the show it tend to stick in my memory. Probably why I often draw paralells between stories.

Hm. Haven't seen that one nor played the game. But if it share the overall main story of the world with the other two animes I can't say I'm that interested.

I personally don't see any similarities between the two, since Ergo Proxy is very existential, philosophical, and dystopian while this is more JRPG, fantasy, and action. Does the story turn in some really weird direction later on? I've gotten through the first 3 episodes but I don't think I can get myself to continue this show, so I'm genuinely really curious about where these parallels are.

I'm just a bit baffled bc Ergo Proxy is one of my fav shows and I can't say this one is. Though, maybe I'm judging this a bit early since I'm basing this opinion on only the first 3 episodes.

The similarities between the shows have much to do with the overal story and the feeling it gives as it goes. The story takes a while to get there so keep watching and you'll start to see it too I think.
