| Apparently on doing some research, India had the most amount of tickets sold overall surpassing that of China and the US in 2022, even in 2021 India was 3rd behind China and US so the data in this chapter must be long invalid |

Came to post exactly this. India has more screens and admissions. Japan has a strong film scene but I doubt it is beating India. |
