Is this remake that bad or why is it rated so low? Just curious because I haven't seen any version of Tokyo Mew Mew yet

Most of the fans prefer the original over this version, that and this one. Some fans prefer the uncanon parts to it over and its over Mint’s hairstyle and the way they made her being the first to get transformation.

Ask any tokyo mew mew fan, who watched the original.

I would recommend you to watch the eng sub over the dub for the original.

lots of nostalgia for the 2002 anime,I feel like it's the same with sailor moon and it's reboot (crystal) (although crystal has its own problems)as a fan of the TMM reboot I recommend to view mew mew new as its own thing and not compare it to the original anime

People are viewing this through nostalgia glasses and are nitpicking it to bits.

This is a fine adaptation of the manga and is more faithful to the source material than the 2002 version, but people hate it for every little thing that it does different to the 2002 version, some don't even know there is a manga.

This is not a masterpiece of a show or anything, but I'd recommend this version for people who don't know Tokyo Mew Mew as the story from the manga has been updated and is told better in general and it's not 52 episodes and full of filler as the 2002 adaptation.

Both anime adaptations have their faults and on the whole I'd say they're pretty

The 2002 Tokyo Mew Mew adaptation is not as great as you remember it being.
