Jesus Christ, Saito really needs to be more careful and really expect the unexpected when it comes to traps and mazes. Seriously, that was just rather incompetent. Luckily, his party members stepped it up.

Furthermore, this episode does reinforce the fact that their world is filled with dangerous creatures and probably many we haven't yet to seen.

That melting slime was an MVP. 😏

This is what Raelza should be between her normal full-plate armor and her 'summer' armor.

This series is quite wholesome with the interactions between the main 4. We got to see the opening as well as the ending, which I stood out more because of the dolls.

Raelza's slowly getting closer to Saitou. Well, maybe not in the same way that priest is with that elf...

Raelza being afraid of eels was cute. Appreciate the Raelza fanservice. Shit got serious at the end though, thankfully Raelza had that potion with her.

Personally, I find the structure of these two episodes so far to be quite strange, with these short skits, but nonetheless, was still quite enjoyable. The random fan service and yuri moment honestly just made me chuckle. The last part of the episode was quite tense. I've heard that the format of upcoming episodes might remain the same, but a real story arc starts later into the source material.

This show is genuinely so good man like I thought it would be another run of the mill fantasy but saitou being a handiman and having no powers other than lockpicking is a really cool dynamic with him having to rely on his team. Nobody is able to be OP, everyone has to rely on the other members of the team.

Lafa was annoying me with her cash grabs but after seeing her backstory I understand why she’s so obsessed

Hope Raelza gets the courage to be honest with Saitou some day.

What's with the high scores & this format of the show? There isn't even a plot in sight where the story might be heading towards.

Is this show gonna continue this path of random shorts in the life of Saitou's party & a few random adventurers in that another world or Will a proper plot reveal itself in next one episode or two?

I know nothing about the source, so want a reply.

So far they've only showed how dangerous chest are and haven't shown us their value that makes it worth actually bothering opening them. As they are now it just doesn't make much sense and if anything they are showcasing that Saito isn't that worthwhile as a lock picker because he lacks any defense.

This show seems like a cool fantasy world and I see a lot of interesting things like Lafa's curse. I wish the show would be more cohesive and tell the story straight rather than in weird segments, like the king part felt pointless to me.  This episode could have opened with the hydra/cooking on their way to the dungeon where they deal with the slime and then the climax is the Saito golem scene and then ends at night telling you about Lafas curse, just show the segments in a way that feels like a normal episode rather than cutting between random moments. The scene with the elf and healer was funny, especially the orc lewdly giggling while watching them, and I'm sure those characters will be around more later but even that felt too random and it is my main issue with this show.

Despite my complaints I actually really like the world that's presented and the characters and think this could be a great show, just feel like it's going about how to present things in a way that seems pointless.

This show went from parodying fantasy to straight up gore in seconds. A healer with a wound fetish and armpits was hilarious, but man Saito getting crushed and his ribs popping.... oof. This will be interesting

Ahh Raelza getting her armor melted by a slime who could have seen that one comming :)   .. than the Elf who likes getting her injuries healed and a priest who loves seeing and healing wounds... perfect couple and no better time for yuri than in a dungeon lol

ever heard a name konosuba, it's also a type of slice of life isekai anime like this where plot is not heading somwhere and it has a pretty big fanbase

While I'm enjoying this anime I have mixed feeling over the format. These mini-skits are interesting but I would like a longer cohesive storyline so I'm hoping that it changes over time.

For this episode it did have some parody but also some serious moments, especially towards the end when Saitou almost got squeezed to death. Luckily Raelza was able to save him and maybe there will be some type of romance between the two (to me it looks like Raelza has some feelings for him but I don't think he has realized that and hasn't shown any feelings of his own).

I've found my healing anime. It kept me smiling throughout the episode. Anyone who doesn't appreciate the short skits and insist on a linear plot are more than welcome to go try something else because this isn't for you. There's a multitude of fantasy and isekai out there so just go.

From last week's discussion, apparently the shorts stop at some point in the source material and become a cohesive story. That said, the shorts format, while uncommon in a lot of anime, is very common is Slice of Life anime (especially older ones). So it's not new or unique to this series.

Holy fuck, Saitou's ribs popped out. I thought I was tripping when I saw some white things on him at first and then they zoomed in, golly.

Honestly enjoying so far the different segments, I am sure it will all connect eventually.

I thought we were watching Campfire Cooking in Another World for a second there.

Shopskeeper girl seems pretty hellbent on sending Raelza to the afterlife lmao.

Well then, Raelza looks very soft... Put a ring on her already Saitou.

Holy fuck, that priestess is down horrendously, that orc or whatever is all of us.

It's nice that they told us now the reason for Lafa always wanting payment, pretty sad, I wonder if she was human sized before.

Damn, that Demon Lord ugly lmao.

In the presence of eels, Raelza cannot face slimy monsters, and it's worse for her when it's actually edible. The handyman Saitou is a chef too, and even if it's just a bit, Raelza trying out eel, and it's good.

The treasure trap investigation has seen its fair share of deviances, and Saitou has wandered many, but one that melts metal, it's new.

The elf and the support human priest, it's of utmost "magnifience" to the one who's always admiring her warrior. Damn, that felt yuri lols.

Hah, the minister enclosing about his pertification magic while the king just lazes on his way, playing chess with his guest, the demon king.

Lafanpan not willing to heal Morlock without his payment, now's not the time to bicker about their circumstances. The real reason: Lafa is a moonlight fairy, that the gold coins of offerings become a rite of passage of growth, to grow big or shrink. And for someone who hates chairty, this is one thing that unfortunately Saitou cannot fix. But a teleportation trap, that's the worst ever, sucking in both Raelza and Saitou, split up, deep in the labyrinth. An iron golem that proves its toughness to defeat, and Saitou still has the metal-melting slime, but didn't make it out alive. Raelza administering CPR on him, and he came about just fine.

Damn girl, Raelza. Be truthful one day.

The elven warrior and the priest human sure were an interesting pair to watch. Spying orcs agree! Saitou and Raelza's battle with the iron golem just felt unfair for our protagonists. I'm glad Saitou was revived after being squeezed like a tube of toothpaste.

Sure I have heard & watched the same. Even though I didn't liked it much but still that show easily grasped me to watch the show till the end.

Unlike this one, that had serious comedy factor ableit due to that quirky goddess-one of the main reason of Konosuba's popularity.

Another great episode though I did find the first one a bit funnier. Still great though imo

But are people seriously complaining about how these are shorts? Like fr?

This is starting to remind me of Nichijou or Saiki, where those were also in shorts and some would tell longer stories that span across multiple of them, but not all of them were like that. Some shorts just told smaller gag stories, and I'm totally okay if that's where this decides to go!
