Why change character motivation?

So at the beginning of ep1 they added a small prologue that wasn't in the manga to introduce the characters, where Anis said something about "bringing everyone smiles". In the bed scene of ep2 they again inserted a phrase "Magicians should use their magic to make people smile". I reread the manga chapter and checked the novel and there were nothing of sorts. So the question is what's up with this altruistic bs? It kind of changes Anis's character for no reason. Is it something to do with translation, or did somebody decide that the crazy Marauder Princess was too loco and a bad role model for kids? Would love to hear your thoughts.

upd: nvm thats just some difference between manga and the novel

As a non manga or ln reader it makes things more interesting, now she has that kind of "mysterious" vibe around her and overall is a more interesting person. I don't know how the manga or ln handled this, or what are her real motives, but I think that she has pretty good character writing so far

I’m on chapter 26 and I can say with 100% guarantee, you’re making a big deal out of nothing. It all goes full circle in the end, her motivation is simple, you’re over complicated it, that or overthinking it, she wants to use her “magic” in a way that make others happy, how you feel is how you feel, the anime is doing just fine in regards to exploring what kind of character anis is, the best is yet to come.

In the novel she actually says lots of times that magic is about bringing smiles to other people. I don't remember if she says that on the bed scene of the novel, probably she doesn't, but just to tell you that she actually thinks like that in the original source. I haven't read the manga btw.

I’ve read the first volume of the LN, and Anis has mentioned multiple times that she believes mages should use magic to bring smiles to people. You should re-read it and pay more attention
