Hey!
I recently finished this show and I am eager to read the manga as well - but - i first wanted to ask if the manga got adapted faithfully enough so I don't need to start reading from the start, or if I just should start at the beginning anyways.

The anime was a pretty faithful adaptation, but they changed a couple things towards the end of the show. I highly recommend reading from chapter 1 though anyways. It doesn't take long to catch up, and it was definitely worth it IMO.

Honestly, after watching the anime i decided to read the manga from the very beginning and i must say, it was adapted really really good. Obviously anime skipped some minor dialogues tho (thats a shame but we cant get everything). When it comes to bigger changes, its just the ending - the anime finished on a cliffhanger, when Phos went to talk with sensei about his connections with Lunarians, (it didnt happen in the manga) in case the studio ever plan to release 2nd season.
I think the anime also skipped a few sentences during one of Phos and Cinnabar's meeting which showed that Cin really had faith and waited for Phos to find her a new, fun to do job.

Tldr: Slightly different ending + manga shows relation between Phos and Cinnabar better

I still recommend you reading from the beginning tho. While i dislike and dont read mangas, this one is really good and worth the time

Hey, I would have to say you have got great taste. And, actually I don't really read much manga either, but I would definitely recommend you to read Love is War manga. I can guarantee you would like it since you have pretty similar taste as mine, and also have the anime as one of your favs. It's really amazing.

P.S. And, I am planning to read HnK manga myself too.

Pretty similar taste, and u said they have great taste, but u have demon slayer a 10/10, and my hero and my dress up darling as an 8, whilst something like grave of the fireflys is a 7 and NGE is a 6💀💀💀💀💀

Yeah, and so?? Why so salty about it? There's nothing wrong with DS being a 10, tho the season 1 certainly has pacing issues I agree, but it's just for the feels and actions. Overall I would give Demon Slayer 9/10, but 10/10 just for Mugen train arc cause I really liked that one. Also, what's the problem with Dress Up Darling or MHA being a 8/10?? Both have their issues, but they aren't objectively and even have good MAL ratings. I never really got the feels of Grave of fireflies, I don't why, but it isn't anything bad, and I can say it's quite good. But, for NGE, I certainly can't go any higher than 6/10, actually maybe 5/10. I never liked any of the aspect tbh (other than opening). And how most of the final episodes were just a stupid repeat of scenes, I certainly couldn't get into it. And, you can't just say what's right or wrong based on your preference.

yes, I think they only skipped or rearranged some chapters right at the end to end at a cliffhanger

The second half is better than the first. Nge the show and eoe sure have shit the bed at the end but attempt to watch the rebuild movies and end with the better ending that concludes the show as a whole. Thrice upon a time is seriously the best anime movie I’ve seen. I didn’t have nostalgia. Started the show in 2021, got bored, picked it back up and fell in love with the rebuilds because they were far better story wise besides the 3.0 movie. Also if you’re gonna shit on my opinion, you have a Re: Zero pfp of Subaru and Emilia. The worst girl, especially when Natsumi Schwartz exists in re zero.
