| In the anime she was a very close friend to Tomoya. I did not see any romantic feelings between them except for the scene where Tomoya extends his hand toward Kotomi back when he woke up after a long day cleaning her yard. I think she would be a perfect wife for Tomoya because she has the maturity to make decisions. That's why she continued with her studies and her father's papers. I believe Kotomi and Tomoya had the chemistry, but neither of them had the courage to ask each other out because they viewed themselves as close friends. Also Tomoya didn't want to hurt Kotomi if they were to break up because she went through a lot of hardships so he wanted to be by her side and always be there to support her as a close friend. |
