Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom? (light novel)
| After seeing all the hate this movie gets, how would you feel if this movie was to ever get a remake with a longer runtime and a better story design? Of course, I am well aware there's a 99.9% that this will never happen but still how would you feel about it? |

| I mean tbf the movie itself is already a remake of a live action movie from the 90s. I don't think a remake would do much good unless they completely rewrite the plot since there's no issues with the animation |
| You cant save this story. Its just not good and a complete rewrite is required. Its better to make a new movie instead. |

But maybe I Don't have any problem with a remake if they remake it with replacing this shit plot that is really a downfall. |

| Honestly, after watching the film adaptation I don't necessarily think a rewrite/remake would work. The original film is honestly quite basic and stripped of all the sci-fi elements that provided a somewhat heightened and much more confusing experience for the viewers of the anime. It's a story about a simple what-if that we might sometimes look back on and regret on a setting that's quite familiar and nostalgic which is basically what Iwai is all about. There's never really a climax nor does it really provide a solid context and its left to the viewers on how they want to perceive the film. In contrast to the anime counterpart which heavily implied and added unnecessary distractions to the plot. Needless to say, I don't really hate this film as much as other people do and with the criticisms I've seen regarding the plot, it probably wouldn't have worked out especially with false pretenses coming into the film |
