I don't mind MC having (at least) one foot in Mary Sue territory. I also don't mind the "frolicking" fetish that spans pages and pages, and really reeks of teenagers over-agitated about moving from first base to second base. The art is nice. Character design is really awesome. Even the food porn part isn't atrocious (but a bit bland).

And still I feel a low grade angry feeling stirring inside me after reading 30 chapters of "Ojou-sama going independent! Never mind, let's drag her back into the fucked up environment she was trying to escape because lulz!"

I don't know if it's a case of me being incompatible with the genre and I should just leave this manga be. I cannot imagine the story offering a payoff big enough to be worth trudging through half the cast being manipulative and/or abusive. Actually I'm not really mad at the side characters who are weaving the spiderweb to force MC to meet the disloyal prince once again. Rather I'm mad at the author at this point.

The prince had his chance. He did ojou-sama dirty and humiliated her. She was hurt but could foresee the light at the end of the tunnel. And she looks like she can't wait to have agency over her life and be free from all the royal bullshit and obligations. Which is great! I think most readers are on board with that part. So why, oh why, would we want to make a 180 and go back to the fucked up scenario while harboring a shit eating grin? For a small chance of justice karma? To build up some absurd and unlikely scene of bad guys admitting their wrongdoings in public while cute little angels flutter around and sing "Ojou-sama is vindicated! Alleluia!"

I hate it!
